Clarence Arthur “Art” Hollenback was born on 15 October 1892 in Browning, Schuyler Co., Illinois, son of Edward Burl Hollenback and Ophelia Gorsage. Clarence was a farmer. He was married to Dena Grace Clements on 13 April 1913 in Schuyler County’s Buena Vista Township.
Clarence died on Saturday morning 23 June 1979 at Sarah D. Culbertson Memorial Hospital, in Rushville, Illinois, survived by his son, Russell Floyd Hollenback who died later on 19 February 1990; and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was also survived by a half-brother. Clarence’s wife died previously on 26 January 1976.
