Herman Rahe, Banker, Dies
Herman T. Rahe, 49, for the past 12 years an assistant vice
president of the Peoples Trust & Savings Company died at 2
am yesterday in Lutheran Hospital. He had been admitted to
the hospital only four hours earlier.
Associated with the bank for the past 22 years, he resided
at 1626 Cherokee Road. He was a lifelong resident of Fort
Wayne and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of
Redeemer Lutheran Church, American Institute of Banking,
the Chamber of Commerce and American Legion Post No. 47.
The widow, Gertrude; one daughter, Miss Janet Sue Rahe,
Fort Wayne; one son, William F., Fort Wayne and one brother,
Frederick, Fort Wayne, survive.
The body was taken to the D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral
Home where friends may call. Services will be conducted at
11 am Monday in the funeral home, the Rev. Herbert
Lindemann officiating. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery.
