Rutha H. (Crump Hunt), was born in Pike Co. AR to Charles Gibben Crump and Harriet C. (Corbell) Crump. Rutha married Marion Leander Hunt Dec. 11, 1892, in Hunt Co. TX.

Mrs. M.L. Hunt, aged 60, died Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edna Buckalew, near Stratford, after an illness of almost a year. Funeral services will be held at Oakman Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. J.N. Caton. Interment in Oakman cemetery, Criswell in charge. Surviving are her husband: M.L. Hunt, six sons and four daughters as follows: Duff, Stratford; Ezra, Vanoss; Virgil, Vanoss; Bill, Shawnee; C.O., Purcell; and Sam, Vanoss; and Mrs. Zora McGehee, Vanoss; Mrs. Alice Hammond, Vanoss; Mrs. Edna Buckalew, Stratford, and Mrs. Effie Wood, Stratford.
The Hunts are pioneers of Pontotoc county, Mr. and Mrs. Hunt having come to what is now Pontotoc county in 1897. The family has always enjoyed the esteem of a large circle of friends. Mr. Hunt was at one time a commissioner of Pontotoc county.
NOTES:
She was a faithful church member in the Free Will Baptist Church, raising her children to possess good morals. Her influence is felt through their lives and their children and will be for many years. They were pioneers of a true order. wy
