Henry C. Kessler, Founder of Local Plant, Succumbs at 77 years. He was founder of the York Cone Company died at 11:45 PM at his residence. He was the husband of Mary F. Shannon Kessler and son of the late John and Laura Young Kessler
A member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic church, Kessler was general chairman of the church building campaign and a member of the Holy Name Society there.
He belongs to the York Area chamber of Commerce, the Pennsylvania Manufacturers Association, National Candy Manufacturers "Association. National Confectioners Association, Lions Club of York, York Council 1530 Knights of Columbus, and the Outdoor Country Club.
Surviving in addition to his widow, are a son, Henry C. Kessler, Jr at home, two daughters, Mrs John L. Atkins, Mrs. B. C. Topper, eight grandchildren, two brothers, A. Frank Kessler, and John W. Kessler and a sister Mrs. John C. Hyde
A solemn requeim mass was saturday in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Internment was in Holy Savior Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Heart Fund or the masses for the deceased.
