Mrs. Ingle retired from Bon-Ton in 1999 as a sales associate. She started working at Watt & Shands downtown store, and then Park City before it became Bon-Ton. After graduating from J.P. McCaskey High School in 1952, she started working for Armstrong Linoleum Plant, now Armstrong World Industries. She was also a cafeteria and playground aide at E.R. Martin Elementary School. Mrs. Ingle was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lancaster for over 50 years. She enjoyed flower gardening and yard work, as well as drawing and painting birds and flowers on eggs at Easter for her family. She and her husband, Fred, collected Depression glass for many years, and enjoyed visiting their son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren in North Carolina.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Ingle is survived by a son, Douglas P., husband of Linda A. Ingle of Cary, N.C.; one granddaughter; one grandson; one brother, Ira U. Groff of Leola; two sisters, Rose Mary Ressel of Camden, Del., and Patsy J. Geyer of Shamokin, Pa. She was preceded in death by a son, Fred E. Ingle, Jr.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service from First United Methodist Church, corner of Duke and Walnut Sts., Lancaster, Pa. on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Kent E. Kroehler officiating. Interment will be in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, on Wednesday, April 5 from 7-8 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Please omit flowers.
