On her mother's side her grandparents were Mary Sophia (nee Recar) and Eli T. Robart and her great-grandparents were Josephine (nee Cordia) and Alexander Recar. On her father's side, Marie's grandparents were Sarrie (nee Recar) and David Boyer.
Marie was born in Cadet, Missouri and was Catholic. Her two siblings were Mary Stella Boyer and Joseph Steven Boyer. Marie was married to James Godfrey Boyer for almost 35 years until her death. They had 10 children together. Their first born child named Mary died as a baby (not known where she was buried).
Marie is buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery and her son, Elton Anthony Boyer (1938-1972), is buried beside her. Marie's husband, James, is also buried at the same cemetery only he is a few rows up, if you are facing Marie's grave marker, and he is to the left, closer to the road.
