She carried a mother of pearl back Prayer book, to which was attached a single orchid.
Attending her sister as maid of honor was Miss Colletta Emmerich, whose gown was made similarly to that of the bride's in American beauty velvet. Her matching velvet headdress was held in place with clusters of white Chrysanthemums, and she carried an arm bouquet of the same flowers.
Larry Jansen, small son of Mr. And Mrs. Clete Jansen of Newton was ring bearer. He wore a suit of black velvet with a white satin shirt, and carried the ring on a pillow of white velvet trimmed in lace.
Mr. Bauman had as his best man his brother, Joe Bauman of Chicago. Ushers included Don Emmerich, brother of the bride, and Charles Hicks and Richard Bower of Olney.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Ralph Emmerich, uncle of the bride, who sang "Ave Maria," and Miss Mary Anne Weber and Miss Genevieve Schackmann, who sang "I Love You Truly" as the wedding party entered the church. The three sang " Oh Promise Me."
