WELL KNOWN GREENVILLE MAN DIES MONDAY MORNING, LONG ILLNESS.

H.W. Weaver, 64, prominent Greenville resident, passed away at 11:25 o'clock Monday morning at his home, 2915 Marshall street, after an illness of several months duration.

Mr. Weaver was born on November 27, 1870, in this city, the son of the late S.S. and Drucilla Weaver. He was united in marriage to Ida E. Lester, of Cooper, Texas, on March 10, 1895, and for a number of years they made their home in Cooper. He later returned to Greenville and had been residing here for more than twenty years.

For a number of years, Mr. Weaver was engaged in the retail grocery business in Greenville. He had also been connected with several retail grocery stores here and was one of Greenville's most prominent and highly respected citizens.

Mr. Weaver was a true Christian gentleman, having been a faithful member and deacon in the Central Christian Church for a number of years. In his quiet and unassuming manner, Mr. Weaver was always striving to be of some service to his family, his church and his fellowmen.

He is survived by his widow, who is critically ill with pneumonia, and four children: E.N. Weaver, Greenville, Mrs. Monroe McCombs, Greenville, W.F. Weaver, Dallas, Mrs. R.R. Brinker, of Paris.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at Cooper, Texas, conducted by Rev. M.C. Franklin, of this city. Burial will be in Cooper cemetery.

Pall bearers will be: G.S. Berry, Frank Hamrick, Ed Hendrix, of Cooper, Ed Adair, of Cooper, C.M. Pickens and A.A. Wynn.
