Last rites for Lee O. Eslinger 48, who died at his home February 4, of lobar pneumonia were held Saturday morning at ten o'clock followed by a service at two o'clock that afternoon at a Valley Junction funeral home. Burial was in Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines. the Rev. H. L. Olmstead, pastor of the Church of Christ was in charge of the services.

Mr. Eslinger was foreman of the Winterset Limestone Co. quarry east of Winterset. coming here in 1936. He was employed by the Penn-Dixie corporation as forman at the Gilmore City quarry and before that Mr. and Mrs. Eslinger had lived in Valley Junction.

He was born at Osceola, Missouri September 18, 1888. where he spent his early childhood. making his home from a number of years after with his cousin. Mrs. Urich of Iola Kansas. He was married to Miss Alma Deer at Sibert, Colorado. in 1914.

He leaves his wife, a sister, Mrs. Otha (Bessie) Worthington. El Dorado Springs, Missouri; and four brothers, Clyde of Osceola, Missouri; Roy of El Dorado Springs, Missouri Bert of Caputa, South Dakota; and Raymond of Winterset Iowa.
