Joseph A. Germanotta, 88, of Montville, N.J., died Friday, September 24, 2010.

Visitation was held at the Keri Memorial Home, 125 Main St., Lincoln Park, Sunday, September 26, 2010. A Mass was held Monday, September 27, 2010, at St. Pius X Church, Changebridge Road, Montville.

Entombment at Gate of Heaven, East Hanover.

Born in Jersey City, N.J., Mr. Germanotta resided in Elizabeth, N.J., and Short Hills, N.J., before moving to Montville 15 years ago.

He was self-employed and had served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Lincoln Park American Legion Post No. 279 and the Knights of Columbus Council 6386.

Mr. Germanotta was predeceased by a daughter, Joanne, in December 1974.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Angeline; a son, Joseph, and granddaughters, Stefani (Lady GaGa), and Natali.
