Mr. Klopfenstein Dies in Arizona
Noah Klopfenstein, 76, of Tucson, Ariz., a native of Adams
County, died at 10 p.m. Saturday at the Veterans Hospital in
Tucson. He had been in failing health for several years and
suffered a stroke on Thursday. He was born on Feb. 17, 1897,
in Adams County, the son of Peter and Mary Amstutz-
Klopfenstein. Mr. Klopfenstein had resided in Tucson for the
past 30 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Reginald (Vivian) Riggs
and Mrs. Norman (Joan) Cole, both of Tucson; three sisters,
Mrs. William (Tillie) Ehrsam of Monroe; Mrs. Valentine (Ida)
Egly of route 1, Berne, and Mrs. Clarence (Mary) Bricker of
route 1, Celina, O.; one brother, Henry of route 1, Albion; six
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Two brothers
and four sisters are deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the
Zwick Funeral Home, with Rev. Gerald Ringenberger of
Woodburn officiating. Burial will be in the Ray Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
