Beatrice V. Diehl, 88, Graystone Court, Roaring Spring, died Tues., Sept. 28, 2010 at The Village at Morrisons Cove. She was born in Martinsburg RD to Charles & Gertrude (Oakes) Closson. She married Ivan K. Diehl on Dec. 6, 1941, in Leamersville. Survived by husband; son, Kelly E. & wife, Donna, of Avondale; 2 grandsons: Brian & wife, Becky, Mooresville, NC and Eric & wife, Karen, Oxford, PA; 4 gr. grandchildren: Anna, Daniel, Maya and Benjamin; and sister, Hazel Kauffman, Altoona. Predeceased by son, Gary K.; brothers: Irvin, Melvin, Elmer, Merle and Junior; and sisters: Harriet and Virginia. Beatrice was a 1940 graduate of Roaring Spring High School. She had worked at the Eldon Inn and D.M. Bare Paper Co., Roaring Spring, and also Puritan Sportswear, Altoona. Member, Leamersville Grace Brethren Church. Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring. Interment, Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
