Edith was the wife of the beloved David L. Ball; the mother of Troy S. (Mattie) Mitchell and James T. (Cheryl) Ball; grandmother of six; great-grandmother of seven; great-great-grandmother of four; and special aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
Edith was born at Evening Shade and lived near this area until moving to Detroit in 1950. Returning to Paragould in 1962, Edith and David owned and operated Ball's Grocery on Arkansas 141 until retiring in 1978.
She loved to sew and quilt, and she made quilts for loved ones until she was into her 90s. Edith was a member of Herndon Church of Christ.
Burial was in Mount Carmel Cemetery at Sidney.
