Services celebrating the life of Sharon Ann Munro Patrick, age 56, are pending at the Grace Baptist Church of Tahlequah, with Pastor Sankie Price Lynch officiating. Pallbearers will include Kyle Murray, Mike Krebs, Chris Robinson, and Mitch Parnell. The family will hold a formal visitation at Hart Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, from 5-8:30 p.m. Services have been entrusted to the care of the Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Sharon Munro Patrick was born Feb. 15, 1954, in Donde, India. She was the daughter of missionary parents, Australian Dr. Bruce Kingsley Munro and Billie Jean (Griffith) Munro. Sharon was a member of Grace Baptist Church and had devoted her life to serving the Lord. She grew up in Pune, India on the mission field with her parents for eight years. Their family then moved to Oklahoma, where Sharon graduated from Muskogee High School in 1972. While in Muskogee, she met James Finley Patrick to whom she was married on July 6, 1973. To their marriage they added two beautiful children, Ryan Finley Patrick and Marisa Munro Patrick. Sharon loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them, as well as, time sewing, reading and learning about history. She had a love of travel and art. Sharon graduated Magna Cum Laud from the University of Oklahoma, and she was a Perspectives Graduate and an instructor at Bacone College. She spent her professional career helping and teaching others as a Registered Nurse and administrator at Muskogee Regional Medical Center, where she worked for 25 years. Sharon was a member of the American Nurse Association and the Oklahoma Nurse Association. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend that will be dearly missed. Sharon passed from this life on Sept. 25, 2010 in Tahlequah. She is preceded in death by her mother, her husband, and step-mother Evelyn Munro. Those left to cherish her memory include, her church family; her children, ENS Ryan Finley Patrick and wife Susan of Norfolk, Va., and Marisa Munro Patrick of the home; two grandchildren, Connor, and Sean Patrick of Norfolk, Va.; step-brothers and sisters: John, Charles, Mary, and Richard Tomlinson; two sisters, Darlene Lester and husband Greg of Sarasota, Fla., Pam Ferguson and husband Dewayne of Denton, Texas; and one brother, David Munro and wife Debbie of Wichita, Kan., dear friend Dona Davis and mother-in-law Joan O'Dell of Muskogee; as well as many other family members, friends and loved ones.
