Ralph Richard Arn, 95, of Atlantic, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab center, where he had been a resident since 1981.

The son of David Henry and Bertha Ann Burgess Arn, he was born May 27, 1903, in Atlantic, where he grew up and graduated from Atlantic High School in 1924. His marriage to Josephine Margaret Johnston took place August 17, 1930, in the Congregational Parsonage in Atlantic. Ralph was employed with Hoegh Oil Company as a tank wagon driver from 1941 until 1960, when ill health forced him to retire. He was a member of the United Church of Christ.

Surviving are two children. Jo Ellen and Tom Arn and his wife, Marcene; a great-grandchildren, Austin and Ashley, all of Atlantic.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine, a grandson, Rick Arn and Mildred Sauer; and a brother-in-law, Stan Johnston.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, at 1:30 p.m. at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic with the Rev. James H. Wakelin of the United Church of Christ in Atlantic and the Rev. James H. Wakelin of the United Pentecostal Church, Highland Addition, in Atlantic officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
