Gary Wood KING and Catherine Alice KING are said to have married 18 FEB 1869, but I've been unable to locate a marriage record for them. The most likely place would be Chattahoochee County, although it could have been in Webster County, Georgia (formed in 1853); the Webster courthouse burned in 1914 and many records were lost. Marriage records are available starting in 1878. The 1900 census of Chattahoochee County reports the couple had been married 31 years (so, if accurate, could've been married 1868 or 1869). The 1870 census shows the couple residing in Chattahoochee County with Wood's father, Henry KING; Wood is 33 and Alice is 21.
