She was raised in Southern Idaho and completed her education as a 1934 graduate of Rupert High School. On November 19, 1935, Marjorie married Lawrence E. Tiffney in Rupert, Idaho. In 1960, the family moved to Saltese, Mont. where they purchased and operated the Montana Bar and Café. While in Saltese, they also leased and operated the Saltese Inn. Marjorie and Lawrence later relocated to DeBorgia, Mont. where she worked for the Lincoln family in both the $10,000 Dollar gift shop and Virginia City Gift Shop.
