Daniel Galloway was born in Seagraves, Texas. His mother and family moved to Goldthwaite, Texas when his father joined the US Army Air Corps in 1943. He attended the Goldthwaite schools graduating in 1959. He entered Southwest Texas State University in the fall of 1959.
He earned a BS in education from SWTS.
He worked for the Texas Education Agency for 27 years and retired in 1996.
He was a deacon of the Walnut Creek Baptist Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge, Kiwanis and the Eastern Star.
