Lucinda Jane Burcham was the second wife of Calvin Commodore Umfress. They were married on June 3, 1866. Calvin died on December 18, 1910 of what was at that time diagnosed as consumption. He is buried in the Aenon Cemetery in Hardin County, Tennessee. According to family tradition, Calvin and Jane were on their way to visit with sons in Dyer and Obion Counties, when he became ill and died. On the day of his funeral it was very cold and Jane became quite chilled. She came down with a cold but traveled on to Dyer County anyway. She was very ill with pneumonia when she arrived at her son's home. Less than one month after the death of her husband, she died January 11, 1911 and is buried in Dyer County, Clark Cemetery, Tennessee.
