KAUKAUA SUN FRIDAY 16 JULY 1897 Pg. 11D, Obituary for Joseph Heindl

Joseph Heindl died at his home two miles north of this City Saturday morning at 20 minutes past 8. He had been ailing for the past 4 weeks but was not taken seriously sick until a few days before his death which was brought about by a liver complaint. The deceased was 47 years old and lived in this section for 22 years, 9 of which was spent in this City. He leaves a wife and 9 children to mourn his departure from this life of care & trouble and as he was a good neighbor and citizen we have no doubt that he has met his reward awaiting the just. The funeral was held from Holy Cross Church Monday morning at 9 o'clock and the large number of friends that accompanied his remains to their last resting place was an outward expression of their high esteem. Martin and Wenzel of this City are brothers of the deceased. His father, Joseph Heindl of West Bend, a brother Nicholas and a sister, Mary Zeltinger, of the same attended the funeral.

KAUKAUNA TIMES 16 JULY 1897 Pg. 5
