Roy Adkisson was born March 8, 1934, in Ringwood, OK, the fourth of four children in the family of Andrew and Lucy M. (Frickel) Adkisson. He graduated from Ringwood High School in 1952. He worked at the boys school in Helena and later worked in the oilfield for many years. He farmed and ran cattle all his life. 



Roy died at age 75 in Enid, Oklahoma, Wednesday, November 25, 2009. The casket was scheduled to be open for visitation at the Lanman Funeral Home of Helena from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday. 

 Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2009 at Good Hope Cemetery south of Helena with Pastor Cody Anderson officiating.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Coeta Roberts Adkisson, and an infant daughter, also interred at Good Hope Cemetery.

Survivors included three sons, Andy Adkisson of Rhame, ND, Mark Adkisson of Ringwood and David Adkisson of Watonga, OK; one daughter, Debra Craig of Watonga, OK; one brother, Lewis Adkisson of Ringwood, OK; two sisters, Reba Thompson of Novato, CA, and Dottie Clough of Yukon, OK; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.



Memorials were made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love.
