Flora Belle Peel, 97 of Chipley went home to be with the Lord on September 22, 2010 at the Washington Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born March 12, 1913 in Washington County to Walter and Jennie Morris Brock. She graduated with a teachers certificate in 1930 from Chipley High School.
She was a homemaker and a member of Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband James Cavy Peel and son Tommy Peel.
She is survived by a son, Ronnie Peel (Janie) of Chipley; three daughters, Carol Jean Grundstrom of Chipley, Ivy Jayne Cooley (Don) of Panama City, and Gayle Miller of Chipley; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
Funeral service were held September 25, 2010 at Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Owen and the Rev. Kermit Soileau officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Obert Funeral Home of Chipley directing.
