Mrs. Arvilla Green Graham, 86, daughter of pioneers who entered Great Salt Lake Valley in 1847, died Sunday at her residence on Walkers Lane, of causes incident to age.
She was the widow of Joseph H. Graham, Cottonwood.
Mrs. Graham was born Jan. 1, 1866, in Big Cottonwood, a daughter of Alvin G. and Frances Gibson Green. She had been born and lived all her life in the vicinity of Walkers Lane. Her parents had built one of the first homes on Walker Lane. She was married to Joseph H. Graham in the Logan Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, June 8, 1886. He died five years ago. Mrs. Graham served many years in the Relief Society of the old Brinton LDS Ward, and in later years in Big Cottonwood LDS Ward. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and had been given special recognition by that group.
survivors include her son, Erman J. Graham, and two daughters, Mrs. Erma Bailey and Mrs. Verna Neff, all of Cottonwood, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Floyd (Mima) Graham, Santa Monica, Cal., six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Graham's son, Floyd, died in World War I.
