David Dean Roller, 65, St. Clair, died at his home in St. Clair, surrounded by his family, on Friday, October 20, 2000.
David was born in St. Clair on May 8, 1935, son of William Archie Roller and Emma Louise Roller, nee Thurmond.
On July 3, 1958, he was united in marriage to Mary Evelyn Ray, known to all as Evelyn, and they had three daughters.
David is survived by his wife, Evelyn Roller, St. Clair; his daughters, Pamela Kay Schatz, Sullivan, Debra York and
husband Luke, Lonedell, and Michelle Pruiett and husband Joe, St. Clair; six brothers, James A. Roller, St. Clair,
Robert H. Roller and wife Arlyne, St. Clair, Buddy Roller, St. Louis, Paul J. Roller and wife Helen, Canon City,Colorado, Lloyd "Patrick" Roller, Bloomfield, New Mexico, and Raymond E. Roller and wife Edna, St. Clair; four sisters, Lola Mae "Mazie" Lohmann and husband Carl, St. Clair, Fern Nye, St. Clair, Susan Hartzke and husband James, St. Clair, and Bessie A. Reed and husband Henry, Mansford, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Craig Molitor,Washington, Jeremy, Chelsey and Cody Hanneken and Tyler and Heath Schatz, Sullivan, and Mary Beth and Jennifer Pruiett, St. Clair; his aunt, Piney Radulski, Garland, Texas; brothers- and sisters-in-law; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews;great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by two brothers, William Henry Roller and John Floyd Roller.
During his working years, David was employed by the McDonnell Douglas Corporation as a supervisor in the electrical department. He was baptized as a young boy in the Nazarene Church.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, October 23, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair with Rev. Chauncey Clay officiating. Interment was in Midlawn Memorial Gardens, Union. Memorials may be made to the Costa Center at the Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, St. Louis.Oct 24, 2000
