Katie Esther Ackermann, 89, Union, died Thursday, August 23, 2001, at Grandview Healthcare Center,
Washington.She was born February 10, 1912, at Summerfield, the daughter of Herman Bledsoe and his wife Octavia,
nee Kochenberger.On July 5, 1940, she was united in marriage to Albert H. Ackermann at Gerald.Mrs. Ackermann was
employed in shoe work as a stitcher at the International Shoe Company, Washington, and at the Brown Shoe Company,
Owensville, for a number of years.She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Ackermann in 1971; two sisters,
Amy Knehans and Mamie Bledsoe; and five brothers, Harry, Rainey, Wilber, Jerry and Robert Bledsoe.
Mrs. Ackermann is survived by two sisters-in-law, Maxine Bledsoe, Union, and Avalon Rulon, Washington; nieces;
nephews; other relatives and many friends.Funeral services were held Saturday, August 25, at Oltmann Funeral Home,
Union, with Rev. William Schwab officiating.Memorials to St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Washington, are
preferred.Interment was in the Midlawn Cemetery, Union.The family was served by Oltmann Funeral Home, Union.
