Dad was born June 11, 1927 in Bay City,Michigan son of Walter V. Abrams and Ellen (Gower)Abrams Sr. He attended Bay City schools and married the former Gladys M. Smith July 12, 1946 in Bay City. She predeceased him on Aug 17, 1989. He served in the United States Navy from 1946 through 1951. Mr. Abrams was employed with The Dow Chemical Company for 32 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, life member of Midland V.F.W. Post #3651. Walter loved spending time with his family, golfing and bowling. He was a good husband and father and a friend to many who knew him.
