Township

Frank S. McDonald, who spent his entire life on the same farm in Douglas township, died there Sunday, Jan. 11. He was 84 years of age.

Mr. McDonald was born in Douglas township Jan. 11, 1878, a son of Joseph F. and Teressa Jane McAllister McDonald. His active life was spent in farming. He was a member of the West Star Methodist Church.

Mr. McDonald never married. Surviving relatives include three sisters, Ella McDonald, Effie Helm and Lily McDonald, all of Winterset; and a niece, Mrs. Walter Marquardt, who was reared in his home after her mother's death.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. Lewis E. Lint. Burial was made in the West McDonald-Chase cemetery.

Mr. McDonald was born in Douglas township Jan. 11, 1878, a son of Joseph F. and Teresa Jan McAllister McDonald. His active life was spent in farming. He was a member of the West Star Methodist church.

Mr. McDonald never married. Surviving relatives include three sisters, Ella McDonald, Effie Helm and Lily McDonald, all of Winterset; and a niece, Mrs. Walter Marquardt, who was reared in his home after her mother's death.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 12 from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. Lewis E. Lint. Burial was made in the West McDonald-Chase cemetery.
