Nancy Jane was born in Madison Co. Ky. to parents Benjamin & Susannah Proctor nee Shirley. She married Simpkins Harryman in 1815 and together they raised 9 children. She was a avid worker in her church and loved the Lord with all her heart, the Bible was her constant companion. She loved her Children and Grandchildren.
She went to be with the Lord and was buried in the family farm cemetery. In the years that followed the Cemetery was no longer cared for as it had been. Her tombstone was uprooted by Pigs out in the barnyard. The pigs were immediately moved and a Sarcophagus placed over the top of the grave to protect it from any further harm. Her name is written in the cement.
