GREENVILLE — Cora E. Davis, 89, of South Johnson
Road, Gowen, died Monday, Jan 4, 1988, at United
Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Unit.
A retired Jolly Kid seamstress, she was bom July 21,
1898, in Kent County to James and Elizabeth Gully Weaver.
On Sept. 21,1917, she married Ernest Davis in Howard
City. He died in 1980. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gerald, in 1959.
Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Mae Antcliff, Mrs.
Edward (Alice) Jackson, Mrs. Warren (Eloise) Ostrander,
Cedar Springs; Mrs. Blanche Blow, Sand Lake; Mrs.
Stephen (Emma) Rogers, Gowen; Mrs. Richard (Bonnie)
Rounds, Sparta; four sons and their wives, Thomas and
June, Norman and Rhoda, Billy and Sharon, all of Greenville, Eugene and Marvel, Gowen; 31 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.
Other survivors are a sister-in-law, Nettie Crysler,
Belding; two brothers-in-law, Earl Davis, Florida, and R.C. Seeley, Belding.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters and eight brothers.
Funeral-committal services are 1 p.m. Thursday at
Brown-Teman Funeral Home, Greenville, with interment in East Montcalm Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m.
