Actor. He sought stardom as an American film actor of the mid-20th century. He appeared in the role as an uncredited prospector with Marilyn Monroe and Robert Mitchum in the 1954 Western adventure drama, "River of No Return." After appearing in several uncredited roles in films, his first credited piece was in the television series "The Lone Ranger" in 1950, which followed with other cowboy TV series such as "Have Gun Will Travel" and "Maverick." He had steady employment for twenty years in films but mainly in the small parts of characters that did not even have a name such as a policeman, lawyer, or 2nd cowboy. Released posthumously, his last film role was in 1971 "I Hate Mondays." Born Mitchell John Kowal, his parents were of Polish ancestry and he had a fan following in Poland after appearing in several Polish comedic films. He was killed in a train accident.
