Pardon Sprague came West about 1816, first to Zanesville, and Granville O., and then to Delaware where he was engaged in the stock business and kept hotel on the site of the American House, where his son F. B. was born, and also grandson C.P. He was sheriff two years and representative in Leg. 1825-1828. (Hist. Delaware Co., O, 1880, Perrin and Battle, p. 643.)
