Delina died in 1884 and sometime between then and 1889, the family moved to the eastern edge of Hempstead County, Arkansas. John wed Mrs. Jane Mitchell in nearby Prescott, Nevada County on March 13, 1889. Jane died nine years later at age fifty-six and John died in 1906 at age sixty-eight.
In 1906, the family began to breakup. After John's funeral, eldest son George moved to Adair County, Missouri, where his daughter Ruby was born in 1906. Youngest son Jesse moved to Adair County, Missouri in 1908 and wed Ola Meeker, then moved to Arizona in 1923. Son's William Henry, James Franklin, John Wesley, and Andrew stayed in Hempstead County, Arkansas but John Wesley moved to Arizona in about 1918. Sometime after the 1930 census, Andrew moved to Tucson, Arizona.
