R. A. ADAMS DIES MONDAY

Ruben Arthur ADAMS of Canadian died about 4:00 p.m. Monday after suffering a heart attack while helping to dig a grave in Canadian. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Church of Christ, Canadian. Burial will be in the Canadian cemetery under the direction of the Duenkel-Carmichael Funeral Home.

Born September 30, 1894, in Palo Pinto, Mr. ADAMS lived in Pampa from 1943 to 1946 when he moved to Canadian. He was employed here by the Cabot Companies.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Callie ADAMS of Canadian; four sons, Floyd ADAMS of Pampa; and Dale, Raymond and Tom ADAMS, all of Canadian; one daughter, Mrs. Lola STRICKLAND of Bostonia, California; his mother, Mrs. Martha ADAMS of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel BATES of Corpus Christi, Mrs. Ella PERKINS of Jacksboro and Mrs. Lyda McQUEEN of Fort Worth; and one brother, Charlie ADAMS, of Hobbs, New Mexico and seven grandchildren.
