Mrs. Ruth Knotts McClure, 92, of Dunkard Township, died at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 1956, at the home of her niece, Mrs. Clarence (Annie) Haines, Greensboro Star Route (Frosty Run) where she has made her home for the past 13 years.
She was born on Sept. 29, 1864, in Perry Township, a daughter of William and Ruth South Knotts. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ross McClure, who died in 1932. She spent all of her married life in Dunkard Township.
In addition to her niece with whom she made her home, she is survived by two sons, William of Jefferson and Lawrence J. of Mt. Morris, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Methodist Church at Davistown.
