Stacy Roy Carpenter was born on February 6, 1937 in Hidalgo Texas to R.B. "Bob" and Mildred Cleo Harrison Carpenter. Stacy spent most of his childhood with his father and step-mother, Billie Ramge Carpenter. Billie loved Stacy dearly and thought of him as her own. Raised in Grand Junction Colorado, Stacy graduated from Grand Junction High School and earned his law degree from Denver University.
Stacy owned and operated his own law office in Grand Junction Colorado until his death in 2003. He was a member of the Seretoma Club. Stacy had many loves in his life, including 3 marriages but unfortunately none ever proved to be the real thing. Stacy loved to read and had a vast collection of books. He loved art and throughout the years bought sold and gave away oils, and prints that he purchased mainly from Elks Banquets and Ducks Unlimited foundations. Stacy was always fun to be around and always had a good joke or a "true story" to share with who ever was around.
Stacy was proceeded in death by both parents and step-mother, and a sister, Patty Sue. He was survived by two sons, Stacy Jr. and Sean, a brother Jeff, two sisters Candy and Robin and several nieces and nephews who will always remember him fondly.
