Obituary

New Years Day 2009 Claire passed away at Hallmark Nursing Home. She had been in declining health. Claire was the loving wife of (deceased '98) Philip C. Norcross and mother to three children, Harold Norcross of Freetown, Rita Labens of Vermont, and (deceased '86) Pauline Bousquet. She was a proud memere to Brian, Craig, Kathy, Guy, Marc, Philip A., Philip C., and Henry, all of whom she thought the world of.

Claire came from a very large family four brothers and four sisters. Her brothers that are deceased include Henri, Arthur, and Raymond "Tuffy" McCra. She cared for and nursed during her retirement her mother Rose Marie, her brother Roland, and her sister, Theresa and Theresa's husband, Albert in her home until they died. She believed it was her duty from God to care for people in their time of need. She leaves behind a brother, Gerard McCra of Rochester, and two sisters, Florence Fonseca of Florida and Rita Albrekston of California.

She was a Lady of St. Anne, grew up Catholic in New Bedford and retired from Lakeville Hospital. Her career there began as a dialysis nurse in the sixties and finally as the Housekeeping Administrator once the dialysis clinic moved.

Claire always wanted to make sure those she loved went away from her nourished. "I'll give what I want to, while my eyes are still open," was her favorite moniker. She did do just that. Claire was generous with her time, wisdom, and love.

Memere, you taught me courage, responsibility, the importance of integrity, work ethic, respect, and loyalty. You stepped in to help influence my life at a time when I needed it the most. Thank you for the tools to be the man I need to be. I promise to make you proud. Miss and Love you always, Henry Bousquet.

Visitation will be Monday evening only 5-7 PM at Rock Funeral Home. Funeral from the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 8 AM followed by her Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish at 9 AM. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery.
