DORTHYAN LUND--92: passed away Thurs-day [11-26] in Sammamish WA. She was born 24 May 1917 in Portland OR to James & Flor-ence Ethington. She graduated from Broadway High School in Seattle & attended the Univer-sity of Washington where she was a member of Alpha Phi sorority. She married Hans Lund on 20 Jun 1938 in Seattle. They moved to Tonasket in 1946 where Hans eventually became president of The First National Bank in Tonasket & Dorthyan was active in community affairs. In 1979 Hans & Dorthyan moved back to Seattle where they lived on Bitter Lake for 23 years. In 2002 they moved to Ida Culver Broadview. Dorthyan was preceded in death by her husband of 64yrs, Hans Lund (1914-2006).
She is survived by 4 daus & 2 sons-in-law: Karen Lund (sp-John) DeMoss-Houston TX; Judith Wood-Seattle WA; Jani Bakke-Fort Washington MD; Sally Lund (sp-Donald) Campbell-Issaquah WA; 6 grandchildren & 9 gr-grandchildren.
A family gathering to celebrate her life will be held at a later time. Contributions in her mem-ory may be made to the Legacy Tree Program, Seattle Parks Foundation. The family thanks Vivian Pop & her family & staff at Pine Lake Adult Family Home in Sammamish WA for the loving care that Dorthyan received.
