The Home-Going of a Good Woman
On the morning of the 26th day of June 1914 the death angel called for Mrs. D.O. Barton. Mrs. Barton had been in poor health for some months, however she bore her suffering patiently. She leaves behind to mourn her loss her noble husband and eight affectionate children besides a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Barton was born in Georgia in 1846, she was married to Mr. Barton in 1866. Soon thereafter the happy couple came to Texas, where they lived happily together until her death. She was a good wife, a tender mother and a faithful Christian. She did not dread death, in fact, people who lived as she lived do not fear death. Her life was given to Christ when she was real young, yet she never had an occasion to regret her early choice. Her fondest hope and constant prayer that all her children might be consecrated Christians. From the fact she lived in the world, the world is better.
We extend to this good husband and other relatives our sincerest sympathy. May God's richest blessings be theirs. They will find in her Christ, consolation and strength to bear their sore trial.
