Hazel was married to Walter E. Hansing for 46 years (Married November 24, 1914) and they lived on an 80 acre farm in Vernon Twp., Hancock County one mile South of McCordsville and 1/2 mile East of Oaklandon, Indiana. Hazel worked the Farm her entire life. The mainstay of the farm life was her milking cattle, raising chickens for eggs, raising swine for slaughter and cooking and feeding her husband, son and hi s in planting and harvesting season. During the 1940's and 1950's she served as hostess to the large extended Crawford family on Holidays. Her mother Jane was a Crawford before she married John Cauldwell.
Hazel was an expert Cookie and Pie Baker.
Only Daughter of John and "Aunt" Jane Cauldwell. John was a farmer and "Aunt" Jane was a Mid-wife. John and "Aunt" Jane are buried in the McCordsville Cemetery at McCordsville, Indiana.
Hazel was the Mother of three children, Victor Charles Hansing, Lucille (Hansing) Hoback, and Laura Jane Hansing; {see Search in Oaklandon Cemetery}.
