GREENLEAF--Mrs. Deva L. Tish, 71, of Greenleaf, died Sunday morning in a Caldwell nursing home. She was born Sep 12, 1898, in Howard County, Ind. She moved with her parents to Salem, Ore., in 1908 and was married to Clifford M. Armstrong in 1918. He preceded her in death in 1958. In June of 1959, she was married to John B. Tish. He died in August of 1969.
She was a life member of the Friends Church and of the Greenleaf Friends Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mary Burk, Culver, Ore., Mrs. Thelma Smith, Salem, and Mrs. Elsie Reimer, Orlando, Fla., three sons, James Armstrong and the Rev. Glenn Armstrong, both of Caldwell, and Wendell Armstrong, McMinnville, Ore.; two stepdaughters, Lois Tish of McMinnville, and Mrs. Esther Delamarter, Portland; a stepson, Alva Tish, Caldwell; four brothers, Frank Moorman, Greentown, Ind., Russell Moorman, Marion, Ind, Omar Moorman, Kokomo, Ind., and Wilbur Moorman, Arlington, Wash, and 17 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell by the Rev. Kenneth Pitts of Star Friends Church and the Rev. Gordan St. George of the Greenleaf Friends Church. Concluding services will be conducted at Salem, Oregon.
