Robert D. Fuller was a member of the Nebraska National Guard, mobilized for Federal Service on December 23, 1940 at Lincoln, Nebraska. He was a Squad Leader in the Second Platoon, Company I, 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division and landed at Omaha Beach, Normandy France July 6, 1944. S/SGT Robert D. Fuller was seriously wounded by shell fragments August 2 in the vicinity of the Vire River south of St Lo, France and died of his wounds the following day, August 3, 1944.
