Services were conducted for Tony Lambrecht, Sr., 68, on Wednesday, Jan. 3, at 10 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic church with Fr. Russell of Norwood officiating. The church choir sang.
Mr. Lambrecht, a life-long resident of St. Benedict, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home about 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 30.
He was born at St. Benedict Oct. 16, 1893, the son of Joe and Sophia Lambrecht. He attended St. Benedict school and after retiring from farming some years ago he spent the past six years working with the State Highway Department. On May 20, 1919 he was married to the former Helen Stocker.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Melvin of Ivanhoe and Tony, Jr. of St. Benedict; four daughters, Mrs. Eddie (Lorraine) Geis, Shakopee, Mrs. Dan (Severin) Breggemann, Shakopee, Mrs. Ray (Jane) Kalal, Prior Lake, and Mrs. Charles (Alice) Blaha, Augsburg, Germany; 13 grandchildren (three deceased); three brothers, Carl of Jordan, Henry of Dayton and John of St. Benedict; four sisters, Mrs. Nick (Christine) Krautkremer, New Prague, Mrs. Joe P. (Anna) Peutsch, Jordan, Mrs. Arnold (Catherine) Hennen, Chaska, and Mrs. Henry (Clara) Henning, Wilmont. One brother, Joe, of New Prague, and a sister, Mrs. Jacob (Mary) Schmitz of Jordan preceded him in death.
Pallbearers were all nephews: Andrew Krautkremer and Edwin Deutsch of St. Benedict, Lawrence Dorenkamper of Ivanhoe, Donald Lambrecht of Jordan, Louis Steinhoff of Shakopee and Ralph Stocker of Jordan. Interment was in St. Benedict Cemetery.
