Services held Friday for Mrs. Katie Dyess
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from Saulters Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Katie Dyess, 83, of Carson who died Wednesday night at the home of her niece, Mrs. Mildred Smith with whom she had resided for the past seven months. Rev. L. C. Anthony and Rev. Leon Jackson officiated and interment followed in the Green's Creek Cemetery with Saulters Funeral Home in charge.
Nephews who served as pallbearers were George King, Webb King, Junior McPhail, Neville McPhail, Jackie Smith and James Dickens. Mrs. Dyess was a native of the Carson area and the daughter of the late John Wesley and Mary Kirkley. She was a member of the Dublin Baptist Church.
Survivors include two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
