The obituary for John F. Fling stated that he had been born in Perry Co., OH, Nov. 13, 1826 and came to Ilinois in Nov 1868. He died at his home in Richland, Jan. 13, 1901. He had married Adaline Grove of Pickaway Co., OH in 1853 and to this union were born three sons, William A., Joseph W., and John H. His wife died Mar. 3, 1894. Burial was at Richland Cemetery.
