BELTON— Services for B. E. "Red" Herrington, 89, of Belton will be 10 a.m. Monday at Miller Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Meadows officiating.

Burial will follow in Herrington Cemetery.

Mr. Herrington died Thursday, Sept. 23, in a Temple hospital.

He was born on July 6, 1921, to Felix Harvey and Manurvia Burriss Herrington in Maxdale. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II as a tech sergeant. On May 6, 1944, he married Manervia Jackson in Little River. He worked for the Atomic Energy Commission before becoming a supervisor with Civil Service at Fort Hood. He was a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of Belton; two sons, Galen Kent Herrington of Gatesville and Alan Lewis Herrington of Belton; a daughter, Darla Kay Hill of Georgetown; three brothers, Kenneth L. Herrington, Harold Herrington and Richard Grandbury Herrington, all of Belton; a sister, Irene Moore of Belton; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
