He attended North Adams Public Schools, earned his bachelors degree from Michigan State University and masters from the College of Saint Thomas.
He moved to Houston in 1979 to pursue a career in education. His life work was to mentor and train teachers and administrators to be compassionate educators for the children that were his passion.
He is survived by his mother,Beverly Sharp, Hillsdale; sisters, Sheryl (James) Fowler, Hillsdale and Jill (Douglas) Pulley, Jonesville; six nieces and nephews, Angela (Matt) Shiery, Kahle (Stacy) Pulley, Brent (Cortney) Pulley, James Fowler, Alison Fowler and Curtis Fowler; five great-nieces and great-nephews, Kade and Karlee Shiery, Addison and Lewis Pulley, and Gracin Pulley; uncle, Chet (Bobbie) Sharp and aunt, Darlene Sharp.

This man had a wonderful way with kids and the teachers that he interacted with on a daily basis. He was a principal of at least 2 of the elementary schools in the Alief Independent School District.
He is missed.
