Husband of Mildred Elva Taylor Regan.

William, who resided at 46 Reamer Avenue, Richardson Park, Wilmington, Delaware, served as a Motor Machinist's Mate Third Class with the destroyer U.S.S. Frederick C. Davis (DE-136), U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was declared "Missing In Action" and "Lost At Sea" when the Davis was sunk by German Submarine U-546 in the the North Atlantic during the war. U-546 was later sunk that same day with other U.S. Navy ships.

He had served in the Navy for two years and eight months at the time of his death.
