BILOTTO, Ralph 89, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Brookdale Senior Living in Englewood. He was born on February 26, 1921 in Shelton, Connecticut the son of the late Joseph and Frances (Cuccrullo) Bilotto, both of whom had emigrated from Italy in the early 1900s.
Ralph joined the United States Army Air Corp in August of 1940, served two years in England during WWII as a B-17 mechanic then was honorably discharged in October of 1945 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He worked as a civilian aircraft mechanic at WPAFB after his military discharge in 1945, obtaining the position of crew chief. Later in his career he worked in office jobs at WPAFB until his retirement in 1978.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Helen; two brothers, James (Catherine) Bilotto, and Anthony Bilotto, who was killed in combat serving with the United States Army during WWII; three sisters, Marie (Charles) Culik, Doris (Joseph) Carlino and Mildred (Edward) DelVecchio all of Connecticut. He is survived by his two children, Gary (Kathy) Bilotto, and Bonnie Kleinman of Huber Heights, Ohio; four grandchildren, Amy and Michael Bilotto, and Jason and Tina Kleinman.
Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 10AM, Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Carlisle, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will then follow at 10 AM with Father Michael Bidwell officiating. Burial will be at Medway Cemetery in Medway, Ohio.
