Erected by the veterans of the Duke of Cambridge's own regiment, in the halls of the Old Chiswick Cemetery, London, the memorial plaque is dedicated to the officers, non-commissioned officers and men of the 2nd and 10th Battalion of the Middlesex Regiment, 1914 to 1918. The monument states, "They gave their lives in the First World War on Gallipoli and in Palestine".
