Galen D. Hill, 51, passed away suddenly, Sept. 21, 2010 at his residence in Greenfield.
He was born Jan. 19, 1959 in King City, and had been a resident of Monterey County all his life. Galen was a skilled craftsman, talented in all aspects of the building and construction trades. He could fix or build anything and loved the challenge of figuring new things out. When he took on a job, he was fast, precise and worked long hours to complete it. He was also a generous teacher of these skills to his brothers and nephews.
More importantly, he was a very loyal friend, son, brother and uncle - only a phone call away if a friend or family member needed help. We will always remember his kindness, his child-like sense of humor and his abundance of playful energy."
May you rest in peace, Galen.
He is survived by his father, Ray E. Hill of Greenfield; siblings, Linda Hill of Greenfield, Monica & Wade Reingans of Greenfield, Karen & Gene Bianchi of Oceano, Steve & Diane Hill of Greenfield, Nona Medina of Salinas, and Charlie & Veronica Hill of Greenfield; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Hill in 2005; brothers, Todd Hill in 1991, Warren Hill in 1992, and Joshua Hill in 1998.
Graveside Service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, Sept. 24, 2010 at the Greenfield Cemetery at Oak Park, Elm Ave, Greenfield.
